NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for three overdue boaters near Pensacola, Florida, Thursday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report that a man and his two sons had not returned by the anticipated time. They launched from Navy Point Boat Launch in Bayou Grande.
Missing are:
- David Washington, 80 years old, hometown unknown
- David Washington Jr., age and hometown unknown
- Darryl Washington, age and hometown unknown
While conducting a search pattern, a Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile HC-144 Ocean Sentry fixed-wing aircrew located a capsized vessel matching the description of the boat the overdue mariners were on.
Involved in the search are:

- Coast Guard Station Pensacola 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew
- Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew

- Florida Fish and Wildlife helicopter crew
- Escambia County Search and Rescue
