An Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew already in the air was diverted, hoisted all five boaters and transferred them to a nearby service road where they were met by awaiting emergency medical services personnel.
None of the rescued boaters were injured, and all were wearing lifejackets when they capsized.

"Life jackets are a must, and can make all the difference in a dangerous situation on the water," said Mr. Zachary Edwards, Sector Houston-Galveston command duty officer. "Mariners should always check weather conditions to ensure it's safe to be on the water in small crafts."
