CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a 95-foot fishing vessel approximately 38 miles southeast of Port Aransas, Texas, Monday evening.
Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders received a request for a medevac from the captain of the vessel Lady Jennie after a crewmember reportedly suffered a head injury. Watchstanders notified the duty flight surgeon who recommended the medevac.
An Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, hoisted the crewmember and transported him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline.
