Coast Guard reopens Port of Charleston without restrictions

CHARLESTON, S.C. — As of 10 a.m., Thursday, the Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) reopened the Port of Charleston without restrictions.

Due to potential effects from Hurricane Michael throughout the Charleston area, mariners are urged to transit with caution considering the possibility of aids to navigation discrepancies or other hazards to navigation.

Please report any hazards to navigation to the Sector Charleston command center at 843-740-7050.
