Avolon confirma su encargo de 100 aviones de la familia A320neo

Avolon, la compañía de leasing aéreo con sede en Dublín (Irlanda), ha confirmado su pedido de 75 A320neo y de 25 A321neo. El acuerdo constituye el mayor pedido individual de aviones Airbus cursado por Avolon hasta ahora.
Además, con este acuedo el número total de pedidos a Airbus cursado por Avolon se eleva a 284 (240 aviones de pasillo único y 44 de cabina ancha), entre ellos el A321neo, el A330neo y el A350 XWB.

El nuevo pedido de 100 aviones, sumado a las 22 unidades de pasillo único y cuatro de cabina ancha ya entregadas, eleva la cartera de pedidos de aviones Airbus de Avolon a 258 unidades, la más abultada de cualquier compañía de leasing.
Con la cabina de pasillo único más ancha del mercado, la eficiente familia A320neo incorpora las tecnologías más avanzadas, incluidos motores de nueva generación y Sharklets. Los mismos proporcionan en conjunto una reducción en consumo de combustible y emisiones de CO2 superior al 15 por ciento desde el primer momento, y del 20 por ciento para el año 2020, además de una disminución del ruido del 50 por ciento. Con más de 6.200 pedidos recibidos de más de 100 clientes, la familia A320neo capta alrededor del 60 por ciento del mercado.

Avolon firms up order for 100 A320neo Family aircraft

Dublin, Ireland-headquartered aircraft lessor Avolon has firmed up an order for 75 A320neos and 25 A321neos. The agreement is the single largest order for Airbus aircraft ever placed by Avolon.
The agreement takes Avolon’s cumulative orders with Airbus to 284 aircraft (240 single-aisles and 44 widebody aircraft) including the A321neo, the A330neo and the A350 XWB.

The new order for 100 aircraft, together with the 22 single-aisles and four wide-bodies already delivered, increases Avolon’s Airbus backlog to 258, the largest of any lessor.

Scoot takes delivery of its first A320neo

Scoot, the low cost wing of Singapore Airlines, has taken delivery of its first A320neo in Toulouse, France.
Scoot has placed orders for 39 A320neo aircraft under its fleet renewal programme. The new addition complements the airline’s existing fleet of 27 A320neo Family aircraft.
Powered by Pratt and Whitney Pure Power engines, the new aircraft features 186 seats in Scoot’s configuration. Selected for its outstanding operational efficiency, comfort and range, the A320neo will be deployed by Scoot on its services across Asia.

India’s VISTARA to add 50 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft to fleet

VISTARA, the New Delhi-based carrier, has signed a letter of Intent (LoI) for 13 A320neo aircraft to add to its existing portfolio of 21 Airbus aeroplanes, reconfirming the appeal of the best-selling single aisle family.

The full-service airline has also committed to an additional 37 A320neo Family aircraft from lessors. The combined agreements would add 50 A320neo Family to Vistara’s fleet. The engine selection for VISTARA's latest firm order is Leap CFM.

For VISTARA, the A320neo will be the first aircraft to fly regional international routes.

JetBlue Selects Pratt & Whitney GTF™ Engines to Power 60 Airbus A220-300 Aircraft


EAST HARTFORD, Conn.July 12, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), congratulates JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) on its selection of 60 firm Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which are powered exclusively by Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engines. This announcement follows previous firm orders from JetBlue for GTF engines to power 85 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.

The GTF engines for the A220 aircraft continue to meet performance benefits including up to 20% lower fuel consumption, 50% reduction in NOx emissions to the regulatory standard, and 75% reduction in noise footprint.

Royal Brunei takes delivery of its first A320neo

Bringing new levels of efficiency for the carrier’s regional network
Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) has taken delivery of its first A320neo aircraft during an event in Toulouse, France attended by Karam Chand, RBA Chief Executive Officer: Her Excellency Datin Paduka Malai Hajah Halimah binti Malai Haji Yussof, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to France; and Eric Schulz, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
The aircraft is the first of seven A320neo ordered by the airline under its single aisle fleet renewal programme. Powered by CFM International LEAP-1A26 engines, the new aircraft features a premium three class layout with 12 business class seats, 18 economy plus and 120 in the main cabin. The airline will operate the aircraft on its extensive regional network.
Royal Brunei has been flying A320 Family aircraft since 2003 and currently operates a fleet of six A320ceo jets.
The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 15 percent fuel savings at delivery and 20 percent by 2020. SAS signs firm order for 35 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft

Repeat order for the most fuel-efficient aircraft
SAS Group, has signed a firm order for 35 A320neo aircraft. SAS will also lease 15 additional A320neos from leasing companies. This important new strategic commitment will result in SAS becoming an all Airbus operator with the fuel-efficient A320 family for its mainline European operations, as well as for its extensive domestic services in Scandinavia.
These new A320neos will join the airline’s existing Airbus fleet of 56 aircraft (eight A340s, eight A330s and 40 A320 Family aircraft). The engine selection will be announced by the airline at a later date.  SAS has been an Airbus customer since 1980.
