In April, Rangtikei Helicopters took delivery of its first Bell 505 Jet Ranger X with the cargo hook. They use their new Bell for agriculture hook operations comprising of lifting and spreading multiple loads of fertilizer from trucks onto the steep, hill country of New Zealand with 1,708 lbs/775 kg total hook loads. In addition, they plan to use their aircraft for general utility flights and air transport.

Pylon Aviation owner and renowned pilot, Scott Urschel, was excited to receive the first production Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. As one of the initial members of the Bell 505 Customary Advisory Council, Urschel provided valuable insight, helping shape the design and development of the Bell 505.

Before delivery, he was able to test-fly the Bell 505 along with Bell pilots. Urschel's involvement allowed him to provide feedback from the perspective of an experience pilot and customer, which played an essential role in Bell's revolutionary return to the short light single market.

BELL 505 RECEIBES CERTIFICATION IN CHINA

Beijing, China (May 13, 2018) – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has received certification for the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. This is a major milestone for the international expansion of the Bell 505, as anticipation is growing in country to receive the deliveries of over 110 aircraft.

The spacious cabin can accommodate four passengers for corporate travel or be configured for internal cargo missions by removing quick disconnect cabin seats. Bell Helicopter and Safran celebrate first delivery of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company and Safran (Euronext Paris : SAF), celebrate today the first delivery of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. The aircraft was delivered to private operator Scott Urschel, who is based in Chandler, Arizona, and owner of Pylon Aviation. 

Bell Helicopter and Mr. Urschel commemorated this milestone in the Bell Helicopter booth at Heli-Expo 2017.

"I could not be more pleased to receive the first Bell 505 and put the aircraft into service," said Urschel. "I have been part of the Bell 505 program from the very beginning and have been anticipating this moment. After experiencing the aircraft first hand, I could not believe the power and performance capabilities for an aircraft in this class."

Urschel was part of Bell Helicopter's Customer Advisory Council (CAC) that was directly involved in advising on the design of the Bell 505. The CAC guided specifications and capabilities that were integrated into the platform to fit a diverse set of mission needs. This first Bell 505 is configured for utility operations and will perform in various mission sets to include charter, tourism and utility.
