Coast Guard continues to search for downed Piper Saratoga aircraft east of Palm Beach

MIAMI — The Coast Guard continues to search Saturday for a downed Piper Saratoga aircraft with two people aboard 23 miles east of Palm Beach.

The Coast Guard Cutter Paul Clark (WPC-1106) and Coast Guard Cutter James (WMSL-754)​ crews will continue to search during the day. Air Station Miami authorized the launch of a HC-144 to conduct aerial search and rescue efforts.

Coast Guard Seventh District watchstanders were notified Friday by the Federal Aviation Administration of the downed Piper Saratoga aircraft with two people aboard.​
